Welcome to Tiny Right Brain Designs.  I’m Betty Chang, and I’ve been a fan of earrings for many years and always thought it would be fun to make my own jewelry. When 3D printing came along, I knew it was for me.  All I have to do is learn how to do the 3D modeling, and I send off a file, and voila! – I have earrings. Of course, I do have to slave over a computer to create designs, but that’s a different story. 🙂

I design earrings and pendants for nylon plastic and steel as well as cast precious metals. My designs have a modern feel and I’m often inspired by the shapes I see around me in everyday life.  Some designs are achieved by the manipulation of mathematical surfaces. I use Shapeways in New York and Jawstec in Idaho as my primary printing services. I do finishing work, which may include polishing, hand dyeing, stone setting, and/or assembly.

My jewelry is sold on Etsy and on Shapeways.  Most items in the Etsy shop are in-stock and available for immediate shipment.  All items in the Shapeways shop are made-to-order and there is a larger selection of materials and colors. Earrings purchased from Shapeways do not include ear wires but if you contact me, I’ll happily mail you some. If you’re located outside of the US, Shapeways is a better bet in terms of worldwide shipping options.
