Over the past year or two, I’ve designed several small items that are what I call “desk ornaments’, although I guess they can be used as hanging ornaments or whatever. They are basically mini sculptures printed in SLS nylon. These designs are all inspired by mathematical surfaces. They are not “exact” surfaces because they were not created by equations, but were modeled using Blender software. I tried to make them big enough to be interesting but small enough to be affordable.
From left to right, the white one is inspired by the gyroid surface, the purple one by the Clebsch surface, the red one by the batwing surface, and the blue one by the Menger sponge.
